To locate the area of interest area on the indexes below, use the map tools on each index.

Or, use the Locate dialog box beside the map tools to locate a specific street or with the NTS index major cities or sheet numbers. With the Locate dialog the index will zoom to the street (or city) which will be highlighted in yellow. If more than one street suffix or line segment there will be multiple matches. Select match required.

Using the Information map tool click on the sheet/tile(s) required. In your browser ensure that popup windows are not blocked. A popup box will give sheet information and any other details regarding the file.

Topographic mapping for the urban area of Ottawa, with a small section of Hull. Detailed dataset includes accessways, barriers, buildings, ditches, sidewalks, trails, shorelines, retaining walls, roads, vegetation, etc. This index includes all digital and print editions of sheets held in the Library.

National Capital Commission Orthophoto and DEM Data
Series of orthophotos and Digital Elevation Data of the urban areas of the National Capital Region and Gatineau Park available in different resolutions and years. The image files are available as georeferenced jpegs and/or georeferenced tiffs. The DEM files correspond to the image file as an x,y,z text file. Files are Available on Local Library GIS Server:

1965 National Capital Commission Orthophotos
Digital Orthophotos of the urban areas of the National Capital Region. According to the National Capital Commission (NCC), the original purpose of the photography was to create traditional vector mapping for the area. Files are Available on Local Library GIS Server:
